The problem
Lack of connectivity is the most fundamental problem in the physical economy.
The physical economy only works as a network of interconnected companies, but it still runs on systems that were never designed to talk to each other. Every time two companies need to exchange data, someone builds a custom integration by hand. Business analysts, integration engineers, QA. All manual. Every time. Google EDI if you haven't. It's wild.
A lot of companies have tried to fix this. Nobody has. We think AI agents are the way to finally connect the physical economy.
What we're building
Temper is an agentic iPaaS for the real economy. We're building compute and infrastructure that thinks. Specialized AI agents handle the full lifecycle: gathering requirements from users in plain English, generating integration code, testing it, deploying it, and keeping it alive in production. When something breaks, the agents fix it.
We just raised a $6.6M seed ($8.2M total raised), led by Primary, the largest seed-only fund. We're at $700k signed ARR, work with some of the largest players in the industry, and have a clear GTM with a full pipeline.
What you'd design
You'd own two product surfaces:
- Agentic / ADE UX: the interface where people and coding agents build integrations together. Think conductor.build.
- Platform UX: the mini-cloud our integrations run on. Think Vercel or Railway. Deploys, runtime, observability, logs.
You design it and you ship it. Design engineer means exactly that.
The founders
- Daniel
Grew up in his family's trucking business. Built the freight product at Europe's leading eCom logistics startup, Hive, from 0 to $M and taught himself to code well enough to ship a real product in under a year.
- Heinrich
Ran 100+ person warehouse operations at Amazon, then consulted on system integrations at KPMG. Built Hive's largest revenue line from zero.
- Nick
A hacker at heart: built Lilith at 16, led an offensive security program for a nation-state, entrepreneur for 8 years. In eCom, he led the tech that scaled a company from 0 to $100M in 3 years.
Together, Daniel and Heinrich built Europe's leading eCom logistics startup from pre-seed to 400+ people. They've been living this problem for years.

The role
You'd be our founding designer, working directly with Nick (CTO) and alongside some of the most cracked, pattern-setting engineers in HCI and agent systems.
- Own design end-to-end: the agentic ADE, the platform, the brand.
- Set the design language every future hire builds on.
- Design and ship. You're in the codebase, not handing off Figma files.
- Work directly with the founders. We need your taste, not just your files.
You might be a fit if
- Excellent taste. You know the difference between fine and excellent, and you don't ship fine.
- You're a design engineer. You implement, and you ship production frontend yourself.
- You've designed B2B SaaS. Real products, ideally dense and technical ones, not marketing sites.
- You're plugged into agentic and HCI design. You know what good agent UX feels like.
- You move fast and ship constantly.
- Strong opinions, held loosely.
